Terms and Conditions of Hire
(T&C)
The present general conditions govern the contractual relationship between AUTOS RENTLINE CARS S.L., CIF B93699106 ("Rentline Car ") and the CLIENT ("THE CLIENT"), under which the first grants to the second the use of a vehicle for the term, price and other conditions set out in the rental contract.
APPLICABLE LEGAL REGULATIONS
These general contracting conditions are subject to the provisions of Royal Legislative Decree 1/2007 of 16 November in which approval is given to the revised text of the general Law for the protection of consumers and users and other complementary legislation, modified by law 3/2014, 27 march; to Law 44/2006 of 29 December for the increased protection of consumers and users, and to any other legislation which may be applicable.
The CLIENT is obliged to comply with the General Rental Conditions of the country where the service is being provided, in Spain.
Reservations
Reservations refer to vehicle categories. Bookings for a vehicle in a certain category do not imply of allocation of a particular model within such category.
1. The rental price includes
STANDART RATE INCLUDES
Fuel policy same-same.
Partial Damage Cover and theft with excess (CDW) and occupants insurance.
Roadside Assistance with charge.
Free cancellations & amendments.
Mileage included: 200 km/day. The excess daily mileage will be charged at 0.25€/km.
VAT included.
The vehicle will be returned with the same fuel level as it was rented. If it is not returned with the same fuel level, the amount corresponding to the missing fuel will be charged. In case the vehicle is returned full, there will be an extra charge of 20 euros.
Personalized service. We are not brokers.
In case of accident or damage, the customer must fill out an accident report and provide it to our staff at the office. Any damage or accidents that are not notified will be interpreted as negligence on the part of the client and may lead to additional expenses.
2. Use oft he vehicle
Client must have a rental contract: CLIENT has the obligation to have their copy of the vehicle rental contract on them (or in electronic form) at all times for as long as the contract is in force.
Client must come to the Rentline Car office every 2000 kms for car revision. If CLIENT doesn’t come, Rentline Car may apply a penalty of 50 euro for each day.
To comply with traffic regulations: CLIENT undertakes to use and drive the vehicle in compliance with the rules of the Código de Circulación (Highway Code) in force at the time of renting the vehicle and according to the specifications of use for the type of vehicle rented.
Use of the vehicle is expressly prohibited in the following cases: the vehicle may only be used on public roads. Use of the vehicle is expressly prohibited in the following cases:
1. Driving the vehicle on unauthorised or unpaved roads or on roads whose state may pose a risk of damage to the vehicle.
2. Using the vehicle to participate in races, competitions or challenges of any description. Driving the vehicle on racing/test tracks or the like, access to which by public traffic is not allowed.
3. Using the vehicle for driver training purposes. Using the vehicle to carry out performance tests on car materials, accessories or products.
4. Using the vehicle in cases of risk, particularly when the dashboard warning lights come on.
5. Using the vehicle to carry persons for valuable consideration.
6. Using the vehicle for the commission of criminal acts, even if such an act is only regarded as criminal in the place in which it is committed.
7. Driving the vehicle when alcohol, drugs, fatigue or sickness impairs the driver’s physical condition.
8. Using the vehicle to push or to other vehicles or any other object.
9. Carrying any substance in the vehicle, which is toxic, flammable and generally dangerous and/or contrary to legal regulations in force from time to time.
10. Carrying the rented vehicle on any kind of boat, train, truck or plane, and move the vehicle to the Spanish or international island, also Ceuta and Melilla, except where expressly authorised in writing by Rentline Car.
11. Driving inside the premises of ports, airports, aerodromes and/or similar premises which are not open to public traffic, as well as in the premises or facilities of refineries and oil companies, except where expressly authorised in writing by Rentline Car.
12. Cross the borders of Spain, with the exception of Andorra and Gibraltar (a sign authorization is required from the Rentline Car to travel to Portugal, France and Monaco).
13. Change/add/delete any parts, details, liquids, oil, breaks, etc of a vehicle.
3. INFORMATION ON ARRIVAL DATA
- In the case of picking up your vehicle at the airport, correct flight information is vital.
- If a flight is delayed, the CLIENT must warn Rentline Car by e-mail or phone (WhatsApp). Otherwise Rentline Car has a right to cancel reservation after 60 minutes of indicated time.
- If you are not sure that the flight number you provided is correct, please check it and reply to the company’s email with the original.
- Free cancellation up to 24 hours before the vehicle is collected.
- Baby seats and booster seats for children: baby seats on request can be rented subject to availability or type of car equipped with for € 3 per day per baby seat.
- In the event of contracting any of the available child restraint devices, the customer will be responsible for their suitability, use and placement in the vehicle.
- Vehicle rental between 22:00 and 07:00 h. Vehicle rental during these hours carries an additional charge of € 35.
- In the event of damage to the vehicle, a damage management fee of € 50 will be applied
- If the vehicle receives a fine during the rental period, the responsible person will be the renter or main driver and € 30 will be charged for the fine.
- It is allowed to leave Spain to travel to Portugal, Gibraltar, France and Andorra for an amount of €25 / day only after CLIENT receives a confirmation from Rentline Car.
- Additional drivers: The cost per additional driver shall be 6 € per day per driver with a minimum of 6 € and a maximum of 186 € per driver per 31 day rental period. For rentals of 31 days or more, the price is 3 €/day.
- Visa and MasterCard credit cards (except prepaid cards).

- Payment by smartphone, cheque or bank transfer is not accepted.
- The holder of the bank card used to pay the rent must be the contract holder and must be present at the time of payment.
- Only one bank card can be used per contract and it must be nominative.
- The payer will be responsible for knowing the PIN of his bank card if he pays with a card that includes this technology.
- The payer must ensure that his bank card has sufficient funds available at the time of collection of the vehicle to be able to collect the rental with all contracted options and also, if applicable, to block the amount of the pre-authorization corresponding to the group of the rented vehicle.
- When picking up the vehicle it is essential to present a valid passport or ID and driver's license.
- Brand, model, color or engine is not guaranteed when reserving your vehicle, but we work by categories.
- Rentline Car reserves the right not to rent the vehicle in case of well-founded doubts about the client's financial capacity and / or due to the client's history of non-payments or incidents.
- Rentline Car reserves the right to demand from the CLIENT documentary proof of the client's address during the term of the rent.
- The CLIENT has no right to
- Rentline Car is not responsible for lost items. Please check your vehicle well when you return it.
- You will need to provide some personal information before collecting the reserved vehicle.
- The client is obliged to immediately notify the company of any event related to the rented car.
- In case a rental contract has to be extended, the economic conditions may vary. Extensions must always be made by email by contacting our reservations office.
- It is prohibited to smoke in the car. The amount of 100 euro will be charged from a client to clean up the car.
Waiting period: Rentline Car shall hold the booking for a period of sixty minutes as from the agreed time in the rental agreement.
In any case, if you have to change any information in the reservation, do not hesitate to write to our email and let us know.
Reservations must include a correct flight number. Please, check your details before submitting the form, as any incorrect information will cancel the reservation. The same happens for deliveries at the Malaga train station or the cruise terminal at the Malaga port.
4. DETAILS OF THE COLLECTION AND RETURN
CLIENT undertakes to return the vehicle to Rentline Car with its keys, documentation, accessories and additional equipment at the date and time indicated at the rental contract and at the place agreed in the rental contract.
Returning the vehicle before the end of the rented period: returning the vehicle before the end of the rented period does not entitle CLIENT to be reimbursed for any amount of the contract price and shall be regarded as a unilateral termination of contract by CLIENT.
If the CLIENT leaves the vehicle at another place than was agreed in a contract, it will be applicable an addition charge of 180.00 €, plus any loss of profit sustained by Rentline Car and the costs for the vehicle's recovery.
If the CLIENT doesn’t return a vehicle in time, indicated in a contract, Rentline Car has a right to apply new tariffs: plus 30 euros to pay per day under the CLIENT's contract for each overdue day
Cancellation policy: If otherwise not indicated in the rental contract, it is not possible to cancel or modify the booking. No refund will be given if you do not collect the vehicle.
5. THE RENTAL PRICE DOES NOT INCLUDE
Insurance excess, theft and any damages to the car. An additional insurance is available to cover other damages and theft (in the case of not taking out the insurance offered, at the time of picking up the vehicle, Rentline Car reserves the right to charge the Excess amount as a deposit which will be returned to the client at the end of the contract if the vehicle is returned in the same conditions). Damages to the interior of the vehicle are not covered by the insurance. Any damage caused during the rental due to misuse or improper use will be charged to the customer. Otherwise you will be charged according to the damage up to the amount marked in the attached chart):

- If you don ́t return the vehicle on time: in case of failure to return the vehicle as mentioned in the rental agreement, CLIENT undertakes to pay additional 24-hour rental cost to Rentline Car.
- In the event that the vehicle fails to be returned by CLIENT on the agreed date and after one day without any news from the CLIENT, Rentline Сar shall regard such failure as embezzlement and shall report it to the competent authorities.
- It is allowed to leave Spain to travel to Portugal, Gibraltar, France and Andorra for an amount of €25 / day only after CLIENT receives a confirmation from Rentline Car.
- Additional drivers: The cost per additional driver shall be 6 € per day per driver with a minimum of 6 € and a maximum of 186 € per driver per 31 day rental period. For rentals of 31 days or more, the price is 3 €/day.
ROADSIDE ASSISTANCE
Rentline Car offers a new system of roadside assistance during your rental. The cost of 24H Road Assistance: 0-21 euros. Just call us +34 603 40 41 41 and provide all necessary information.
6. AGE OF DRIVERS
21 years old with a driving license of more than 1 year. In the case that drivers are less than 21 years old or have a driving license less than 1 years old, they must pay € 10 per day.
7. PAYMENT
Payment will be made upon pick-up of the vehicle with a VISA or MasterCard debit / credit card, you can also pay in cash. The owner of the credit card must be the renter (main driver).
8. METHODS OF PAYMENT

10. PAYMENTS AND BLOCKING AT THE TIME OF PICK-UP
At the time of collection of the vehicle and payment of the rental, Rentline Car will debit the bank card of the contract holder for the rental charges payable at the counter and will block the pre-authorization corresponding to the type of vehicle rented.
11. CASH COLLECTION
Only exceptionally, cash payment will be accepted and will be required at the time of collection of the vehicle:
To leave a cash deposit, which will be refunded upon return of the vehicle, unless there is a breach of contract or additional obligations are generated according to the general terms and conditions of hire. The amount of the deposit will be as detailed below depending on the category of the vehicle.
12. DEPOSIT
As a security measure, a minimum deposit from EUR 300 will have to be paid, depending on the vehicle range. The deposit is returned at the same time the vehicle is returned. If the deposit has been made with a credit or debit card, the return may take between 3 and 15 days depending on the banking entities. In case of damage to the car, the client agrees to withdraw from the card the amount of money corresponding to the damage table

The Parties are entitled to terminate the contract where there is a legal reason to do so. Rentline Car may terminate the contract if CLIENT fails to make a payment for more than ten days, or if there a fair reason for it.
A fair reason, means:
- Use of the vehicle by CLIENT in any way which is not in keeping with its purpose or causes any damage to the vehicle through wilful misconduct or gross negligence, including lack of maintenance or failure to have the vehicle checked when obligated to do so.
- Any breach of applicable provisions in relation to commercial transport.
In the event of termination of the contract, CLIENT shall be obligated immediately to return the vehicle, the keys,the vehicle documents and its accessories..
